Movie Review

I just watched the movie "He's Just Not That Into You."

I hadn't heard such good things about it, just that it was 'eh'....but I *really* liked it. I really did. I just got so into the characters, and they got some really pretty good actors to do the film, who could show quite a bit of depth just with subtle expressions on their faces. I was reminded that Jennifer Connelly is SO. GOOD. I had forgotten how much I like Jennifer Aniston. I'm not a fan of Ginnifer Goodwin, but I'll admit she really had me into her character's plight, even if I don't relate to her insanity.

Was it a really smart movie? A really exciting movie? Really suspenseful? No.

But I liked it, a lot. I suspect I will think about it for the rest of the night. Have any of you seen it? Did you like it?

I will also take heart i knowing that I don't have to wonder whether a dude is into me. I have a dude. Who is really into me. And I'm into him. How lovely!

I saw it a while back and liked it as well. DH came with me (and was not very happy about it), but admitted that he enjoyed it as well.

Nothing like a movie about how difficult dating is to remind us how lucky we are to have our DHs!!

This weekend I was deciding between this movie & Confessions of a Shopaholic (I was in the mood for girly fluff). I'd seen part of He's just not that into you, so for some reason I chose the other one. Apparently I made a bad choice!

By the way, Confessions of a Shopaholic is AWFUL

Not the sort of movie I'd watch of my own volition, but it happened to be playing while I was trapped on an international flight and significantly bored. To my surprise, I enjoyed it more than I had expected.

I watched it a while ago (I was looking for something brainless to take a thesis break) and was really surprised. I have to agree! It's actually ok! I rather liked it.

Although sometimes I think I like films more than I really do because I watch them with really low expectations.

I saw it on a flight. It was a United flight that has those old school CRT's in the aisles to watch the movie on (oh how I wished I was on an Air Canada flight with the seat-back on-demand movies!). The flight was being delayed, so I watched a lot of it before we took off. And I liked it! I got so mad when it was interrupted hundreds of times for the "we're going to be a little later" announcements etc. (At least the pilot was female - that was cool.) But yeah, I liked it :)

I was so obsessed with this movie I thought about it for the rest of the night and into the morning. Surprising how much I liked it, but also how much it exposes my personal biases wrt to relationships. I found myself kind of annoyed by Ginnifer Goodwin's character because I am so unlike her.

I like Ben and Jen's relationship best. :)
