Ugh - that's terrible! My IL's are the same, but only at night (they keep their bedroom window wide open in the middle of winter). So, we just hunt down all the blankets in the house to use. It's much more difficult to deal with during the day though.
Brrr! That is cold! (I had to translate to Celsius because I don't understand Fahrenheit, lol). The tea is a good idea, and maybe you can suggle up in a nice blanket and watch the superbowl? :-D) Sending you warm thoughts. :-)
My mom keeps my parent's house freezing to save on the heat bill. Last time I was home, I offered her $30 to turn the heat up by 3 degrees for the duration of the weekend.
I hate that shit. I would straight up refuse to have in-laws if I had to put up with such hijinks. If they ice your uterus how do they expect you to give them grandbabies?
I like my place preferably cold, maybe around 60-63, but I didn't used to be like that and always had to take sweaters to Alaska in summer. My parents would open all the windows when the temp reached 65 (warmish in summer), and I'd be freezing.

HAHAHAHAH! We keep our house fucking freezing, too!
Ugh. I fall asleep when its so cold. But lately we've been turning the heat off to save money. Old houses are so drafty.

But at least the hot tea is good! :)
Oh I'm so going to use Hermitage's line the next line my ILs or parents decide to keep their houses in sub-freezing (to me) temps!
